A client in Silver Bay, MN called DBS looking to create a diversion and move the water away from their home in a drainage system. We sent a design specialist to the home to find an easy solution for their drain. The French drain is used to redirect surface and groundwater away from homes. The drainage system would surround the perimeter of the home and ultimately bring it into an area where the ground can take in the water and quickly seep down, rather than go into the home. We recommended an exterior French drain for these clients because they needed water management specifically in the perimeter of their home and they wanted to make sure that the water was being diverted in another direction, rather than into the basin of their home. A French drainage system is not always our most common recommendation for waterproofing, but we do have multiple systems, sump pumps, dehumidifiers, and more services that make sure to maintain a dry home for your family!
