At DBS, we value the importance of gathering together as a family and recently had our first quarterly company-wide meeting of 2020 on Monday, February 10th at Northland Country Club. Every meeting at DBS, whether it be individual departments or as a company, starts off by reciting our vision, mission, and values. By doing this we are able to remind ourselves why we chose to work at DBS and share how we lived out our vision, mission, and values in our recent work. Owner, Bonnie Sundberg, spoke first with conversations on our swift growth in employment opportunities, gratitude for our adaptability, and future goals for 2020.
Director of Customer Care and Marketing, Emily Kincheloe took the floor next and was excited to announce that we surpassed our marketing and customer care goals by 43%! Customer care surpassed goals for appointment setting by holding high standards for their team even after exceeding their weekly call goals. Marketing and customer care are working towards a one-team mentality by spending time on ride alongs with our sales, service, and production teams. Ride alongs and site visits allow our office team to gain perspective on the impact their roles have on our sales and production teams. We also learned about the work our Marketing Interns are executing to increase our digital and social media presence. Her last point was to highlight bringing back quarterly community projects or sponsorships as a company!
Director of HR and Admin, Kelsey Muonio who works in our Blaine office drove up with the rest of our crew from the Twin Cities and had some great things to say! She welcomed new additions to our HR department, upgrades to office equipment and talked about our new and improved Safety Committee. Kelsey also announced a new IT initiative in our company that will equip our foremen and their crews with new technology and tools to improve productivity and service quality.
Director of Sales, Royce Bunn spoke next and was enthusiastic about new additions to our sales team in Duluth and the Twin Cities Metro. In 2019, we surpassed our previous year’s goals and helped over 750 new customers! Our sales team is fired up and ready to help hundreds of new customers live by our company vision this year, “A world where every family lives in a healthy, safe and comfortable home!”.
Director of Operations, Jeff Aili touched on Production and Service team goals for 2020. This involves streamlining our warehouse and ordering structure in addition to creating a new foreman and leadership training process. We are bringing increased awareness of monitoring key performance indicators this year which will allow us to improve our efficiency across all projects!
We took a break and played a quick game of Kahoot!™ before having a flavorful brunch and an award ceremony. We recognized Keri Heise for setting over 1,000 appointments last year! Design Specialists, Rich Johnsen and Henrik Makitalo were acknowledged for their outstanding sales numbers last year. Foreman, Steve Lafontaine was congratulated for having the highest NPS score, which reflects the overall customer experience, with a 9.3 out of 10. We are proud of their commitment and dedication to DBS and our company's vision, mission, and values! DBS is excited to continue, “Creating lasting “WOW” relationships with employees and customers, while providing permanent home performance solutions!” during 2020!
