One of our crews led by Foreman, Evan LaFontaine, installed our PolyLevel® foam underneath the stair slabs to lift and level the area. They were able to successfully raise the slab by about 5 inches. Then they sealed the gap with NexusPro® sealant for a clean finish.

DBS customers in Eden Prairie, MN recently purchased this 1970s home. They had several home improvement projects in mind but wanted to address their crawl space immediately so they contacted DBS for more information on our crawl space encapsulation service.

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. He recommended crawl space encapsulation for the musty, dirt crawl space. Because this home has a slew of projects to get through, they decided to start with insulated the crawl space. 

DBS Foreman Nick Woods II and his insulation team worked in this crawl space to install spray foam to the exterior walls of the crawl space. Spray foam expands upon application to fill gaps and cracks, preventing airflow and moisture from flowing freely into the crawl space. 

The owners were happy with the work done and plan to complete their crawl space encapsulation with a vapor barrier in the near future.

Helical Deck Pier Installation in Eden Prairie, MN

A homeowner in Eden Prairie, MN was noticing that the foundation of their home was starting to settle, more specifically their balcony area. The mudroom in the home had become uneven, and there were gaps forming in some of the windows, which is a telltale sign of foundation failure. In need of some help, they reached out to DBS and had a Design Specialist come out to give them a free, no-obligation inspection and estimate for the repair. After a thorough walkthrough, it was determined that the home would need to have four helical piers installed around the balcony area in order to properly support and stabilize the structure. These piers are designed with galvanized steel and given a special helix form which allows them to penetrate existing soil and firmly plant below the balcony structure. More information on our helical deck piers can be found here. The results of the project turned out great, and the homeowner can feel more comfortable with the support for their home.

Hi! We have a smaller basement that is unfinished under one half of our split level. that we are interested in trying to lightly finish. We really would like a contractor to help us waterproof and get us ready to install our rough in bathroom. We also are interested in just understanding what opportunities there are in our basement.
