Many people in Minnesota and Wisconsin enjoy having a place where they can escape for the weekend and spend time with friends and family in the outdoors. Our customer who owned this building in Palisade MN used it as a Hunting Shack. The owner wanted this building to be around for a long time, but the foundation was beginning to cause problems inside the home. The home was sitting on concrete pillars that had shifted over time and were causing the home to move as well. Certain parts of the home were even inches away from falling off of the supports completely. The owner of this shack knew something needed to be done or he would be risking much worse damage to the property. He called DBS Residential Solutions after finding the permanent foundation solutions online and scheduled a free estimate for the shack. He met with our specialist who provided him with a wealth of information on why the problem was happening and which option would make the most sense to use in this situation. This time that solution turned out to be a combination of helical piers which are anchored deep in the earth to prevent movement, and steel beams set on top of the piers to provide strong even support throughout the whole home.
