A homeowner in Chippewa Falls, WI, contacted DBS Residential Solutions because they were dealing with cold rooms and pipes freezing beneath the kitchen. The home had a unique layout with three separate areas below the living space: a larger crawl space, a basement area, and two smaller crawl spaces located beneath the kitchen and bathroom.
The homeowner’s goal was to better insulate and encapsulate these spaces to help create a more comfortable home and protect the plumbing from freezing temperatures.
Foreman Nick Woods and his crew completed the project using the CleanSpace® Wall System to help seal and protect the crawl spaces. Because of the challenging layout, one of the crawl spaces had to be accessed and insulated from the exterior using Foamax®.
Despite the tight and separated work areas, the DBS team was able to complete the improvements throughout the home and provide a more complete solution for the homeowner’s comfort concerns.
The crew received high marks from the homeowner following the project, recognizing Nick and his team for a job well done.
With the crawl spaces better sealed and insulated, this Chippewa Falls homeowner can enjoy warmer rooms and greater peace of mind during Wisconsin winters.
