A homeowner in Alborn, MN was experiencing a common foundation problem found in older basements. The foundation walls had started cracking, and was causing a shift in the wall, which can be troublesome for the home. In need of a solution, the homeowner reached out to DBS to try and find a fix to their foundation problem. DBS sent out a Design Specialist to inspect the area and provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the wall project. It was concluded that the area would need to have the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System installed to ensure proper wall support. However, there was a unique catch to this project. One area of the wall was cracking below the staircase, and stood only about 4 feet high. This meant that the crew would have to cut the PowerBrace™ in half, and create an "H" design with a separate brace in order to fit in the area. A photo of how exactly the design looked will be attached. Though it took some extra time, the crew was able to follow through with the installation, and the results turned out great. With the help of DBS, this homeowner can now enjoy a more safe and comfortable environment in their basement!
