We had a very challenging basement. It was a dirty and dusty job. The crew worked very hard and efficiently to get the basement ready. They covered everything up and vented a fan out the window. When they finished, the basement was as clean and wiped down. The insulation was sprayed around the foundation and the house was warmer almost immediately. Great service and an amazing crew!

It started with a busted water pipe, 200 gal of water in my basement, leading to a new found hole in my basement wall & other surprises. I researched, cried some, researched more, made calls, had a couple different companies come out. Honestly? The 1st phone conversation with Bonnie Sundberg's DBS Foundations, Basements & Insulation I had? Gave me a much needed breath of relief. The compassion & reassurance meant everything. I had three bids scheduled to address the concerns with collapsing, shearing, and bowing basement block I uncovered when doing the demo on the basement walls of the 100 year old home I purchased. Badger Basement came but never produced a bid, and DBS and another MN based company did give me comparable bids. Both field sales reps were thorough, explained everything, had the same solutions (steel beams to shore up the walls) and when the bids came, they were within $1,000ish of one another. The reason I picked DBS is because of their origin story; a small town family business that has grown over the years by employing reliable family and friends. My sales rep, Rich, and the team that showed up to do the work, led by Jared, were completely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I also purchased the dehumidifier on steroids to ensure clean air in this old home. I am very happy with the $$ I spent on this project - it had to be done or the house was going to collapse. These basement problems do NOT get better with time and will only cost more money in the end. These steel beams come with a guarantee and a warranty. It is transferable to the next owners when the house sells. They will return for several years and tighten up the bolts that will *hopefully* get the block walls plumb again. This is an investment into the health of your home, the future value of your home, and your personal health - mold spores are BAD! Spend the money!
