Brain joined the DBS team in October of 2017 with a willingness to work hard. His role as an installer at DBS is to professionally install quality products into the basements of our customers. Brian’s favorite thing about working for DBS is experiencing the look of happiness on our client's face when he is done with his work in their home. He loves knowing he helped to improve the homes of our customers.
When he is not helping out customers, Brian enjoys a good game of golf, kicking back to relax and watching TV.
This customer had some major water damage in their basement. The family was upset because they spend a lot of time in their basement together. The homeowner reached out to DBS and set an appointment for a specialist to inspect their home. After inspection, it was proposed to have a WaterGuard system installed along with a new, TrippleSafe sump pump. Our crew, with Foreman, Zach Royer, installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement.
This White Bear Lake, MN homeowner had noticed his foundation walls were beginning to bow in. Upon this realization, he decided he needed to call an expert to inspect the foundation wall. This homeowner in Saint Louis Park was concerned about the stability of her home. She had noticed a crack in the wall of her garage and wanted to get the problem fixed. After calling DBS, an appointment was set to have System Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen come out to the home for a free, no-obligation estimate. Following a thorough inspection on the day of the appointment, Rich was able to explain to the homeowner why the problem was happening and the best possible solution to fix it. He explained that the movement of the soil beneath the home had caused the foundation to move also. When this happens, pressure builds and the wall cracks in order to release some of the pressure. If the problem is not fixed, pressure will continue to build and the problem will only get worse. A permanent solution would be to install a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System. This would keep the wall in place and prevent it from moving further. Through tightening over time, the braces will slowly bring the wall back into place. After a signed proposal, a date was set to have Foreman, Kevin Steffey come out to the home to install the system. Once the PowerBrace’s™ were professionally installed, the homeowner could rest easy in the safety of her home.
This Duluth, MN homeowner called DBS to set up a free, no-obligation estimate for her crawl space concerns. Her home had started to show signs that something was going wrong under her home. She noticed that her floors started to sag, as well as excess moisture in her living spaces. Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo visited this home and upon his inspection concluded that the home should have the crawl space encapsulated as well as the use of our patented SmartJacks to stabilize the home's sagging support beams. Foreman, Kevin Steffy and his crew were tasked with the installation of SmartJacks and our CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation material. They were able to achieve the desired results, and the homeowner was happy with the results.
