Upon purchasing this Duluth, MN home, the new owner wanted to ensure that it was structurally sound. After measuring movement in the home and crawl space, he created a plan to stabilize the sinking floors. DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his crew began the stabilization by installing 10 feet of supplemental beam to offer more horizontal support for the space. Beneath it, they installed 2 SmartJacks and completed a lift procedure to transfer the weight of the home to stable soil. To correct the bowing foundation wall, they also installed 3 PowerBrace steel supports that were tightened to secure the wall from further movement. This home is now permanently stabilized and ready for move-in!
