A homeowner in Roberts, WI, contacted DBS Residential Solutions because the concrete in the garage was beginning to flake and deteriorate. The homeowner wanted to stop the damage, protect the garage floor, eliminate tripping hazards, and improve the appearance of the sidewalk and front stoop.
Foreman Pierce Campbell and his crew completed the first phase of the project by repairing cracks and joints with NexusPro®, addressing exterior cracks in the garage’s concrete block, and eliminating tripping hazards where possible. Inside the garage, the crew polished the concrete and applied SealantPro® to help protect the surface from future wear and deterioration.
Because the sidewalk was more than 50 years old, PolyLevel® was not recommended for that area. Instead, after the concrete repair work was completed, a second crew led by Nathan Sundberg returned to install DuraStone by VUBA over the sidewalk in front of the home.
The DuraStone overlay covered the existing flaking and spalling damage while giving the sidewalk a refreshed, finished appearance without requiring the homeowner to replace the entire concrete surface.
With the repairs, protective treatments, and new DuraStone surface complete, the homeowner now has safer, better-protected concrete and a noticeably improved entrance to the home.
