During Installation: Helical Piers Secured
Our crew installed Helical Piers beneath the cabin to permanently stabilize the foundation. These deep steel anchors reach load-bearing soil, lifting and supporting the structure even as conditions near the shore continue to shift.
Before: Failing Wood Posts
Old wood and block supports under the second cabin were deteriorating and uneven, leaving the structure vulnerable to frost heave and settlement. This view highlights the need for a stronger, permanent solution.
Under-Cabin Support System
Beneath the cabin, you can see SmartJackĀ® supports and supplemental beams installed to reinforce sagging floor joists. Frost protection foam was also applied to help prevent seasonal movement and maintain a level foundation year-round.
Cabin 4 Stabilized Near Waterline
After installation, Helical Piers now support the lakeside cabin's weight and resist soil washout. With improved frost protection and new steel supports, this cabin is now secured against future movement and erosion along the shoreline.
Before: Settling Cabin Near Lake Shore
The shoreline cabin showed signs of structural stress as soil continued to erode toward the water. Temporary block supports were in place, but they couldn't provide lasting stability in the soft, shifting soil near the lake.
