A property owner in Superior, WI, contacted DBS Residential Solutions to address water intrusion in a rental property. The goal was to create a more reliable waterproofing system and better protect the basement from future moisture problems.
Before installation, the homeowner planned to remove portions of the finished walls so the DBS team could access the areas where water had been entering.
Foreman Nik Langevin and his crew completed the project using WaterGuard® along the back wall and around the unfinished corner to help capture and direct groundwater. CleanSpace® was also installed in the bathroom and adjacent dead space to help protect the walls and manage moisture.
The crew also installed a SingleSafe™ sump system to collect and remove water from beneath the basement. An IceGuard® component was incorporated into the system, with the crew adapting the installation to accommodate the property’s existing discharge setup.
With the new waterproofing system in place, this Superior property now has added protection against water intrusion and a more dependable way to manage groundwater when it reaches the basement.
