This customer contacted DBS after noticing that water comes into their basement every spring thaw and that each time it happens, their is a lot of water but no visible cracks.  When our Design Specialist went out to the property, he recommended installing a WaterGuard® along the walls of the basement to help with water flow. WaterGuard does this by effectively capturing wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. The water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.

Once we were able to get out to the property, the installation of the WaterGuard® went smoothly and the customer was happy with the results!

This homeowner reached out to DBS after experiencing recurring basement water issues during spring thaws and heavy rain, despite no visible cracks in the foundation. Additionally, they sought assistance with a bowing basement wall and requested a quote for the construction of an egress window.

After a thorough inspection, our Design Specialist suggested that we implement Waterproofing, Foundation Repair, and install a new egress window to enhance the overall quality of the basement. Our crew went to the property to carry out the recommendations and installed 5 PowerBraces™ to provide support and stability to the bowing wall. Additionally, they installed a Waterguard® system to address the seeping water and a new egress window to improve the ventilation.

This Remer, MN cabin was built in 1950. The new owner wanted to make it livable year-round, and decided to invest in new attic insulation right away. After collecting estimates from two other companies, the owner decided to move forward with DBS.

DBS Design Specialist Jacod Nustad-Peluso visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate for the attic insulation work. He create a custom-plan that included air sealing the attic from the living space below. 

A DBS Foreman and crew started the insulation project by removing the deteriorated fiberglass batting. Then, they used spray foam to air seal the attic deck and the applied our ultra-dense Tru-Soft™ cellulose insulation. The also used ridig foam SilverGlo™ insulation to create a new scuttle cover for the attic access, allowing no warm air from the rest of the house to escape via the attic. 

This 1950's home in Remer, MN was becoming uncomfortable. The homeowner noticed temperature changes were becoming more evident in throughout the seasons and the home was more difficult to heat. After receiving quotes from a few different companies, the homeowner decided to go with DBS for a permanent solution. 

Our Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist Jacob Nustad-Peluso visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the insulation work. Foreman Orrin Sundberg and his production crew first removed old fireglass batting and insulation. Next, they applied a layer of closed-cell spray foam to air seal the attic floor and once cured, they covered the floor with our Tru-Soft™ cellulose.

Additionally, our team covered a wall that was prone to air leaking with SilverGlo™ rigid insulation, and wrapped the chiminey in rock wool to better seal the entire attic.

This homeowner now has a more comfortable home year-round!

When this home was inspected by one of our specialist, the main beam running across the middle was not sufficiently supported and needed permanent stabilization. Also, the space lacked sufficient insulation.  Our solution was to have the floor lifted and leveled back to its original position, using our patented SmartJacks. Additionally, the specialist found that the crawlspace had some water leakage. Our solution to install drainage matting and a sump pump would solve these water issues. Spray foam along the rim joist would make the home more energy efficient. These quality solutions would leave the home safe, secure and comfortable.
