BBefore turning their beloved cabin in McGregor, MN, into their full-time residence, the homeowners contacted us with a pressing issue concerning their kitchen floor. As illustrated in the photo, the floor was uneven and detracting from the overall charm of their home. DBS received a call from a home in Cohasset, MN that our clients were looking to sell their home, but they had been told that their walls and foundation were unstable. The homeowners needed to move forward quickly with repair to stabilize their walls. DBS sent our Design Specialist, Kevin Steffey, to the home to create a proposal and fix the problem.

Kevin recommended fixing the walls by installing PowerBrace™ service into the home for support, then by using Joist Reinforcement as needed to support the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System. We would also work to remove the old, unstable, unnecessary drywall throughout the process of repairing the walls.

A homeowner in Cohasset, MN reached out to DBS regarding the basement waterproofing service. This service helps create a more dry and safe environment for homes but keeping unwanted water from leaking in to the area. There are several products that can be installed to get the job done. For this home, Both WaterGuard® and a TripleSafe™ sump pump were installed within the basement. The photos here show the empty sump pit, followed by the placement of the TripleSafe™ and WaterGuard® drainage system. 

A homeowner in Cohasset, MN reached out to DBS regarding a dirty crawl space that is a part of their home. Dirty crawl spaces can cause several issues that many are unaware of. Luckily, DBS was able to inspect the area and provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the crawl space service. It was concluded that the area would need to have the CleanSpace® vapor barrier installed. This acts as a defense between the house and the earth, as shown in the photos. Having the crawl space encapsulated can help keep the rest of the home clean, dry, and warm. The project turned out great, and the homeowner can now enjoy a more comfortable living environment.
