Upon its purchase, this homeowner knew there were issues with the garage's concrete. Wanting to remedy this issue before selling the home to new owners, they reached out to DBS for a permanent solution.

DBS Design Specialist James Miller visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate. To lift and level the concrete, our 2-part polymer foam PolyLevel® was recommended. DBS Foreman Jason Foster and his production crew successfully installed and leveled the garage slab using PolyLevel® and sealed the cracks using NexusPro™. 

Concrete lifted with PolyLevel® be used immediately after curing, which typically takes around 15 minutes. It's ultra-durable and won't wash away like other substances used in mudjacking. 

This garage is restored to level and will be supported for many years to come! 

This Duluth, MN homeowner has lived in their home since 1978 and first noticed issues with their Park Point basement around 20 years ago. The basement would take on water from time to time but now the problem has worsened rendering the space unusable. With rising the rising water table and presence of the harmless, yet pesky iron ochre bacteria, Park Point basements have a tall order in keeping themselves dry.

DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen is an expert in basement waterproofing. He visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the waterproofing project, using our WaterGuard® Iron Ochre system.

Foreman Zach Royer and his production team first installed drainage matting with aggregate rock to rasie the floor a few inches and to offer ground water proper drainage. They then dug and installed the drainage system along the perimeter of the basement. This drain is meant to be exposed so that is can be easily cleaned of iron ochre build-up. CleanSpace® Wall Poly was installed on the walls and everything now flows to a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump.

Sump pumps need regular maintenance, just like a car needs regular oil changes. Especially when iron ochre is present in your water, the build-up needs to be properly cleaned or it will clog the pump system, causing water to flood in the basement. DBS has a dedicated service team that services sump pumps and waterproofing system to find any problems before they find you. 

These Duluth, MN homeowners had a waterproofing system installed by DBS to solve their basement's moisture issues. Because they were looking to make their home more comfortable year-round, they reached out to us again for help with insulation this time. 

A Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the property and conducting an energy audit, it was determined that spray foam insulation at the rim joists in the basement, and blown-in insulation in the attic were necessary to effectively insulated the space.

Our production crew first removed the existing insulation in the attic. They then sealed the gaps in building material and spaces surrounding the attic ducts with a layer of Spray Foam. From there, they used our TruSoft™ cellulose to blow into the space. TruSoft™ has a higher R-value than fiberglass and other cellulose materials. Our team also built a scuttle cover using TerraBlock™ insulation for a tight seal on the attic.

Sealing both the basement and attic spaces will drastically reduce the rate of cold air entering the home and warm air escaping the home - in short - lower energy bills and a more comfortable home!

These Saint Paul, MN homeowners wanted to make better use of their basement. Living in an older house in Saint Paul, they were interested in our system because of its added insulation and water-resistant qualities. 

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the basement finishing project, keeping in mind the family's vision for the space. It was determined that EverLast™ Basement Wall Panels would be installed along the perimeter in the basement, along with MillCreek Flooring™, and recessed lighting.

A DBS Carpenter and crew successfully performed some demolition, as well as finished the stairway, and ceiling. They then installed the products mentioned above, completing base electrical, and installing outlets, switches, and jacks. 

This family now has a beautiful, custom addition to their home to enjoy.

This home is set in the forest near Grand Rapids, MN. With the average high temperature at 18F and the average low at -3F in January, this home needed more insulation support. DBS Foreman Orrin Sundberg and his production crew partially removed the existing insulation. They used closed-cell spray foam in several areas, as well as our TerraBlock™ foam insulation infused with graphite. From there, they blew-in around 17 inches of TruSoft™ cellulose insulation, the cathedral-style ceiling, as well as dense-packed insulation in the walls to provide a radiant barrier that would be sure to stand up to even the coldest winter temperatures.

The homeowner was happy with the work done to prevent warm air from escaping the home, and improving the overall energy health of the space.
