This cabin in Hovland, MN had issues with sinking and settling. The owners had purchased this cabin with hopes of finishing the inside. Looking for a permanent solution to their uneven flooring, they called DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate for foundation repair. 

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo has diagnosed structural issues in hundreds of homes and cabins in Minnesota and Wisconsin. After giving a thorough inspection, he suggested our helical piering system for the perimeter of the cabin as a solution to foundation failure.

Foreman Trevor Ingle and his crew led this project, and together they drove 12 helical piers beneath the cabin. This solution allowed the perimeter of the cabin to level and also stabilized the structure to prevent further sinking into the ground. 

This cabin is now permanently stabilized and the owners will be able to complete the interior of their new retreat.
