Justin joined the DBS team in May of 2018. He is an integral part of the crew as he assists the Foreman in effectively completing the job. His favorite things about working for DBS is the teamwork and great exercise he gets installing our products. He likes when a job is finished because he knows that the customer’s home will be safer for many years to come.
When Justin isn’t busy at work, he enjoys playing hockey and reading a good book.
A homeowner in Cable, WI reached out to DBS regarding the crawl space of their home. The area was old and dirty, and full of unwanted debris. After thorough inspection, it was decided that the area would need to have structural support added, as well as CleanSpace® to help encapsulate the entire crawl space. The photo here shows the crawl space prior to the service by DBS, and the finished product of the SmartJack® and CleanSpace® installation. The results turned out great, and the homeowner can now be more comfortable with their much improved crawl space.
A homeowner in Gordon, WI was looking to ramp up their basement waterproofing system a bit, and reached out to DBS for some assistance. The area already had an exisitng sump pump, so that was one step in the right direction. After a free, no-obligation estimate, it was determined that the basement would also need to have WaterGuard® installed, which acts as a drainage system for unwanted water making its way through the basement. A homeowner in Taylors Falls, MN reached out to DBS regarding a xrawl space issue they were having. The area was poorly stabilized by wood posts, and this was causing the floor above to sag downward. In need of a solution, the homeowner had a Design Specialist come out and give a free, no-obligation estimate for the crawl space service. It was concluded that the area would need to have a good amount of SmartJack® units installed (24 in all) to help provide support for the crawl space and sagging floor. Our crew successfully installed the SmartJack® System, and the homeowner can now be more comfortable with a stabilized crawl space.
A new homeowner in Superior, WI wanted to ensure a safe and comfortable basement area for their family, and reached out to DBS for some assistance in trying to upgrade their basement system. The area contained concrete walls and flooring, which make it susceptible to several issues. After a visit from a Design Specialist, it was determined that the basement would need to have a combination of CarbonArmor® and WaterGuard® installed to provide maximum support for the basement. The CarbonArmor® will work to stabilize the concrete walls and prevent them from making any unwanted shifts. The WaterGuard® was installed around the perimeter of the basement, and will work to catach and extract any water from seeping in to the basement. This time of year, when snow starts to melt and grounds become soaked with excess water, basement flooding can be a common problem among households. In Duluth, MN, a homeowner in the Park Point area was experiencing just this. Park Point is a hot spot for basement flooding, being right on the shores of Lake Superior. Fortunately, they reached out to DBS and a crew was able to provide a specially designed waterproofing service for Park Point homes.
