The Contractor Nation Live Experience and Awards
In mid-September, DBS attended the annual CNLive convention event hosted by Contractor Nation. DBS has participated in this event every year since we joined the Contractor Nation Network, and it is something we look forward to each year! Training, keynote speakers, awards ceremonies, and other fun events are hosted by Contractor Nation during this three-day event.
Awards
DBS received three awards for Total Sales during the 2021-2022 season! Here’s a big congratulations shoutout to our Sales team who go above and beyond year after year!
Total Basement Finishing: #6 Dealer for Total Sales 2021-2022
Dr. Energy Saver: #10 Dealer for Total Sales 2021-2022
Basement Systems: #39 Dealer for Total Sales 2021-2022
Our Marketing team also won an award for the Most City Pages created throughout the Summer, ending with 96 total pages created from May 1 through August 31!
We are very proud of the accomplishments we have reached as a team. While consistently instilling our Mission, Vision, and Values with one-team in mind, we have been able to grow as a company and make these proud moments happen.
CN Live
As a company, we attend CNLive for multiple reasons. It provides an opportunity for DBS to connect with other companies within our dealer network, learn about new products, attend trainings and further developments, and it overall keeps us up-to-date with the latest and greatest news and products within our industry.
Many companies receive recognition for their achievements and are able to expand their knowledge through breakout sessions. These breakout sessions allow us to improve our craft, generate new ideas within the different departments, and collaborate with our network. Of course, there were also moments of entertainment at the event, including a magician and a percussion music group that our team really enjoyed watching.
There was also a keynote speaker at the event. Nick Tasler is a motivational leadership speaker who shared his ideas surrounding “focus.” The attendees were immersed in this powerful topic and were able to share and expand the ideas with the rest of our DBS family!
The DBS attendees were very impressed with the experience again this year and shared some of their favorite moments:
Andy Bost, Metro Sales Manager, shared that a highlight for him was,
“Connecting with other dealers across the nation and learning about what they do and learning from each other,” as well as, “being able to go and refocus on the basics.”
Demmary Thomas, TBF Production Manager, stated,
“My favorite highlight from the event was the breakout groups. Everyone was passionate about their subjects.”
They also shared their view on strengthening relationships within the network:
Jim Olson, Director of Field Operations, stated that
“The opportunity to meet with like companies across the nation and learn from each other [what is] the best way to WOW our customers and succeed for our employees was exceptional!”
Andy Bost says the best part was,
“Knowing I have people who do the same work we do are just a phone call away if we get stumped.
Connecting with coworkers in different areas of the company allows us to have a better understanding of DBS as a whole.”
Finally, when asked about the moment that made them feel the proudest to be a part of the DBS family:
Andy Bost exclaimed,
“Winning awards for TBF, DES, and Basement Systems! Also, our Marketing award! Also, hanging out with the DBS family and getting to know each other more.
We really do hire the best people!”
Demmary Thomas stated,
“The moment that made me feel part of the family was being invited to a variety of activities throughout the weekend and feeling welcomed even though I was relatively new to the team.”
DBS is very proud to be part of a dealer network that provides opportunities like CNLive where we can continue to improve our craft, build relationships, and create WOW experiences for both our customers and employees. We are excited to see what the next year holds!
