How do I pay for my project? What are my financing options?

Payment options include check, cash, or credit card. There are no processing/service fees for whatever option you select. DBS can help set up a few different types of unsecured (don't hold your house for collateral, for instance) installment loans, including no-and low-interest options. Through DBS, financing is easy because we can request the needed funds at the right time (to schedule, and upon completion of the project), and you simply approve each transaction.

How do I get on the installation calendar - what is the process?

DBS requires a signature on a valid proposal and a 50% deposit to schedule the work. From there, we will schedule and lock in dates immediately and you can put that on your calendar, which makes planning for the DBS crews a lot easier. Then we approve the project internally, secure the permits and engineering documents if needed, order the materials to do your project, and assign the specific foreman and crew.

How long will my project take to get installed? From when I agree to move forward, to when the crew arrives, to when the job is completed.

First, we schedule the work. The installation date is highly dependent on the time of year (spring into summer, and late summer tend to be our busiest times), other similar projects that are previously scheduled with a 50% deposit, and a signed DBS proposal. We generally see a 2-4 month lead time from deposit to installation throughout the year.

At scheduling, we give our best guess for the timeframe of the actual installation itself. Since DBS has specialized crews per service (insulation crews, waterproofing crews, foundation repair crews, for instance), we have an excellent picture of how long a given project will take a given crew to complete. We actually use the dollar amount of the project and type of installation to match up a crew.

We pride ourselves on a teamwork culture, and the Design Specialist that designs and sets up your project will keep excellent communication with the foreman assigned to do the work, which has been vital for DBS to keep a very tight schedule with accurate time estimates. However, sometimes we find surprises once we start digging in (pun not intended), delays happen, and we try to keep you informed of any changes to your project's timeline after it's scheduled.

Who will be coming to my house to do the work? Are they DBS employees?

Yes! Will the exception of contractors requiring specialty licenses (plumbers and electricians, for instance), everyone wearing a DBS shirt is an employee of DBS. This is how we can make sure everyone is well informed on your proposal, project, and home. We will under certain circumstances sub-contract companies who have licenses for plumbing, electrical, etc... DBS has a general contractor's license in MN and WI, we are fully bonded and insured but our workers, by law, can't touch plumbing, electrical, or any other utilities that require a special permit.

Who do I contact if there are issues with the installation or if I have future issues or questions or concerns?
