DBS Fixes Anoka, MN Home with Musty Crawl Space

Moisture issues were plaguing this crawl space in Anoka, MN. Tired of living with the musty smells throughout the home, the owner contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate of encapsulating the space.

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo came up with a solution that would take care of the musty smells and even make the whole house warmer. Our crawl space encapsulation system seals and insulates with 3 layers of moisture and mold-resistant materials. 

Tyler Nacey led a crew to encapsulate the crawl space. They began by installing drainage matting against the dirt crawl space floor. From there, our TerraBlock™ crawl space insulation was installed, creating a radiant barrier. The last layer is CleanSpace®, a thick poly sheet that will prevent moisture and musty odors from developing and traveling through the rest of the home.
