Cabin Foundation Stabilized in Hibbing, MN

The owner of this cabin and his family hand-built the cabin in the 80s all with wood from the property. Decades later, the foundation was no longer stable. Wanting to keep the cabin in his family, he reached out to DBS to permanently stabilize his family's cabin.

Design Specialist, Jake Gilmer, visited the cabin and provided the owners with a free, no-obligation estimate. James recommended the installation of helical piers along the cabin's foundation and beams installed underneath the cabin to permanently lift and stabilize the cabin.

DBS Foreman, Trevor Ingle, and his Co-Foreman, Gavin Denzler, then installed the helical piers around the cabin to lift and stabilize the cabin. These helical are driven into the ground using hydraulic pressure. Once the pier reaches solid, stable bedrock, the pressure pushes against the ground and causes the piers to stabilize the structure. 

The cabin owner can now have a piece of mind knowing his cabin is permanently stabilized.
