Longtime cabin owners on Lake Leander outside of Britt, MN were concerned over worsening conditions with the cabin's block foundation. Individual blocks were shifting measurably, leaving cracks and gaps that left the crawl space prone to wetness and mold. DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation support work. He determined that the crawl space would have SmartJack® support beams installed to lift and support the sagging crawl space ceiling, as well as helical piers to properly support the weight of the structure.

DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew installed 9 helical piers to support 44 feet of additional support beams.

To complete the work in the crawl space, Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew installed 13 SmartJack® supports to replace the rotting wooden beams. Finaly, they completed an encapsulation using a vapor barrier to to keep moisture at bay and protect the home's structural elements going forward.

A homeowner in Angora, MN was concerned about the stability of their home foundation. The foundation began to settle within the soil and it was evident to the owner. It was decided that our crew would install helical piers to stabilize and lift the foundation. This would prevent any further settling or damage from occurring to the rest of the home. This home was experiencing severe foundation issues and required support at the base of the foundation throughout the home. This pair of images shows what our Push Piers look like when they have been installed on a home. The bracket you see above ground connects the home to a steel pier which has been driven deep into the earth to provide a good base of support for the home. With Push Piers adjustments are made to ensure a proper amount of support for the home prior to backfilling the area once again.
