This home just outside the city of Gilbert had gone without care for some time and the current owner now wishes to restore it to its original glory of when it was their family home. Among the first steps in this process was to re-stabilize the foundation. After years of temporary fixes on the foundation, it was time to install a permanent solution that supported the whole home without need for wood shims, additional bottle jacks, or a newly constructed foundation. By using a combination of helical piers and steel beams we created a solution custom fit to the home that provides even support across the whole home.
This Duluth, MN homeowner was in the process of selling his home. The inspection found that one of the home's foundation walls had become unstable. The homeowner called the experts at DBS to come out and assess the foundation problems the inspector had found. System Design Specialist, Royce Bunn, made the visit to this customer's home and was able to find a quality solution. Shortly after, Foreman, Casey Healey, and his crew began work on installing Powerbraces to help stabilize and straighten the foundation wall. This homeowner was so relieved to have the wall stabilized and have the sale of his home go through.
Homeowners in Duluth, MN had consistent flooding in their basement. As seen in the before photo, sediment was being carried in by the water, leaving a dirty mess in the basement. They knew it was most likely due to cracking in their foundation. In search of a permanent solution, they reached out to DBS.
Sale Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for this project and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation support and the waterproofing system.
To permanently stabilize the basement walls, the production crew installed 13 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightened over time, in order to restore the wall to its original position. A SuperSump® Premier Pump System was installed and will work hard to keep water up and out of the basement.
The egress window was also replaced and surrounded by a SentrySeal® rubber membrane to protect the egress area from water.
This customer called DBS because he noticed that his main floor was sagging. Design Specialist, Royce Bunn, made a visit to this home and upon inspection suggested that the customer installed our patented SmartJack XL to help stabilize the sagging main support beam. Excited and relieved about the solution presented, the customer was eager to get the work started. Foreman Casey Healy and his crew were sent out to complete this task. First, they poured new footings for the jacks to securely rest on. Next, the SmartJacks were installed. This resulted in one happy customer, as he felt that his home was now safe and secure.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo assisted the homeowner in a free, no-obligation estimate in order to find the best solution for the home's needs. After a careful inspection, Henrik recommended our SmartJack® Support System.
Foreman Fred Bozvay led the installation of this project with help from a team. Together, the team used these jack systems to evenly support and distribute the weight of the structure. Once stabilized, the jacks can be adjusted to lift the floor above back to a level, even position.
