This 1960's home in Duluth, MN was in the process of being sold to new owners. Because there were some cracks in the basement walls, the owners agreed to repair the foundation before selling. With the help of their real estate agent, they contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the home to determine the best course of action for the foundation repair. Zach Royer and his crew excavated the exterior of the home in order to perform a lift procedure. Our team installed 6 push piers total at the base of the home on the exterior of the home. These galvanized steel piers were then hydraulicaly driven into the ground to weight-bearing soils. The weight of the home was then transferred to the competent soil.
The homeowners were happy with the work done and can now depend on a safe and comfortable home for years to come.
This Cloquet, MN homeowner has lived in their home since it was built in 1940. Over time the home's crawl space has settled, causing the floor of the home's main level to sink. Once doors and windows on the first level became difficult to open due to the foundation shifting, the homeowner reached out to DBS for a permanent solution.
DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the support work in the crawl space. It was determined that the crawl space would have SmartJack® support beams installed to lift and support the sagging crawl space ceiling.

They installed 40 feet of supplemental support beams in the crawl space and secured the foundation using the SmartJack® System. In total, our team installed 6 SmartJack® System beams while performing a lift procedure to restore the home to a level position.
Owners of this 1950's cabin in Chetek, WI contacted DBS for some professional help with their crawl space. The cabin had an addition built in 2006, creating some uneven floors on the main level of the cabin.
