This homeowner in Saint Louis Park was concerned about the stability of her home. She had noticed a crack in the wall of her garage and wanted to get the problem fixed. After calling DBS, an appointment was set to have System Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen come out to the home for a free, no-obligation estimate. Following a thorough inspection on the day of the appointment, Rich was able to explain to the homeowner why the problem was happening and the best possible solution to fix it. He explained that the movement of the soil beneath the home had caused the foundation to move also. When this happens, pressure builds and the wall cracks in order to release some of the pressure. If the problem is not fixed, pressure will continue to build and the problem will only get worse. A permanent solution would be to install a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System. This would keep the wall in place and prevent it from moving further. Through tightening over time, the braces will slowly bring the wall back into place. After a signed proposal, a date was set to have Foreman, Kevin Steffey come out to the home to install the system. Once the PowerBrace’s™ were professionally installed, the homeowner could rest easy in the safety of her home.
