This homeowner had previously had waterproofing and GeoLock™ Wall Anchors installed by DBS and was looking to install Silver Glo Foam vertically up against the exterior wall and install a buried discharge line for the sump pump.
DBS Foreman, Osia Williams, and his Co-Foreman, Rowan Wentworth, worked hard to complete the job. They excavated around the house and the previously installed GeoLocks™, installed the Silver Glo Foam along the walls, and backfilled with sand and the dirt they excavated earlier. After they backfilled they installed the sump pump discharge line.
The owner of this home in Superior, WI reached out to DBS looking for help with bowing walls in their basement.
Design Specialist Rich Johnsen went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, Rich recommended our PowerBrace® System.
A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed PowerBrace® i-beams along the walls of the basement to permanently stabilize the foundation.
Now that the foundation issue has been resolved, the homeowner can relax with peace of mind.
A new homeowner in Superior, WI wanted to ensure a safe and comfortable basement area for their family, and reached out to DBS for some assistance in trying to upgrade their basement system. The area contained concrete walls and flooring, which make it susceptible to several issues. After a visit from a Design Specialist, it was determined that the basement would need to have a combination of CarbonArmor® and WaterGuard® installed to provide maximum support for the basement. The CarbonArmor® will work to stabilize the concrete walls and prevent them from making any unwanted shifts. The WaterGuard® was installed around the perimeter of the basement, and will work to catach and extract any water from seeping in to the basement. These products can be viewed here in the "After" photo.
The homeowner observed significant cracking in the floors and walls at the front of the house, caused by foundation settlement. This often indicates that the house is shifting out of its original alignment, making doors and windows difficult to open. During the inspection, the team noticed a visible gap before the lifting process began. By installing push piers, we were able to lift the home back to its proper level, ensuring it aligns with the rest of the house. The foundation is now permanently stabilized.
A homeowner in Superior, WI was concerned about their failing basement wall. This was a unique foundation, as it was poured in sections and had drywall installed. In order to fix the failing wall, the drywall would need to be stripped from the existing foundation. Then, it was determined that the wall would need to have the GeoLock® Wall Anchor System installed for added support. These anchors are ideal in that they are embedded within undisturbed soil on the exterior portion of the foundation, then attached to a separate anchor on the inside of the wall, creating a stable pulling force. The results turned out great, and the homeowner can now be more comfortable with a stronger wall support system.
