In the heart of Minneapolis, a homeowner envisioned transforming their basement into a creative oasis, complete with a crafts room, bathroom, and chill spot, while also finishing their attic. However, the challenge was relocating their storage to a dry, safe basement. As seen in the 'before' photo, their under-utilized basement suffered from moisture issues, blocking their vision. We intervened with our expertise and a suite of solutions: WaterGuard® for non-intrusive perimeter water channeling, DoubleSafe™ for effective water pumping, IceGuard® to prevent backups in freezing conditions, and CleanSpace® liner for sealing and protection. The 'after' photo proudly displays a fully waterproofed basement, ready for transformation and instilling confidence in the homeowner's plans. These homeowners in Barnum, MN reached out to DBS for help stabilizing their sinking foundation. 

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the home, Henrik found that half of the home was sinking into the earth. This will not get better with time but it will get better with us! Supportworks Push Piers were recommended to stabilize the sinking foundation of this home. This home was repaired by DBS Field Supervisor Kevin Steffey and his production crew.

This home is now healthy, safe, and comfortable! 

This South Minneapolis home had been in the family for a couple generations. Wanting to restore the cracking and shifting foundation, the owner contacted DBS. 

DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation project. Royce thoroughly measured the foundation settlement and discovered that one side of the house in particular was sinking, cause the rest of the foundation to crack and shift as well. 

Zach Jorenby and his crew excavated the exterior of the home in order to perform a lift procedure. Our team installed 20 push piers total at the base of the home on the exterior of the home. These galvanized steel piers were then hydraulicaly driven into the ground to weight-bearing soils. The weight of the home was then transferred to the competent soil.

On the home's interior, our production crew used PowerBrace™ steel I-beams to support the buckling wall on the inside.

The homeowners were happy with the work done and can now depend on a safe and comfortable home for years to come. 

This customer reached out to DBS interested in our Total Basement Finishing services to remodel their laundry area and add a small bathroom to the space. Their basement was unfinished and needed a much-needed upgrade. When our Design Specialist went out to the property, he helped the homeowners construct the basement of their dreams.
