DBS Before & After Photos

Previously, our customer in Arden Hills, MN, struggled with their spacious but underutilized crawl space, plagued by unwanted mice activity. Their goal was twofold: to make the space usable for storage and to enhance their home's value. We addressed their concerns by installing our CleanSpace® solution, spray foam insulation, and TerraBlock™ bottom crawl space insulation. In Arden Hills, MN, a homeowner encountered a serious foundation problem—large voids under their garage floor and uncertainty about the footing's depth, which could extend as far as 8 feet. As shown in the 'before' photo, this was no minor issue. The original contractor had to withdraw, but that’s when DBS stepped in. Before, this New Brighton home's crawl space was plagued by water intrusion, causing disruption and damage to the home’s foundation. The homeowners faced the loss of usable space and potential structural issues. However, as shown in the photo, DBS changed everything. We installed WaterGuard® along the perimeter for effective drainage, IceGuard® to prevent overflows during freezing temperatures, CleanSpace® to protect the walls from moisture, and the DoubleSafe™ Sump Pump for efficient water evacuation. Design Specialist Nick Corbin assisted the homeowner in a free, no-obligation estimate. After a careful inspection, a quote was provided and SprayFoam insulation was recommended for the home.

Foreman Raeshawn Pelfrey led a team in the installation of this project. The team started the project by removing the old batting insulation. This exposes the hidden holes and cracks that are allowing unwanted airflow in and out of the house. After finding these spots, they used the SprayFoam insulation as a sealant to air seal these spots. Afterward, the insulation is sprayed throughout the area to create an even insulation layer and moisture barrier.

This homeowner in Saint Paul, MN wanted to lift and level the garage slab in order to fill the voids and smooth out the surface. They needed a permanent solution, so they turned to DBS for help.

Design Specialist Grant Faris assisted the homeowner in a free, no-obligation estimate in order to find the best solution for the home's needs. After a careful inspection, a quote was provided and PolyLevel® Foam was recommended, along with NexusPro® Sealant. 

Foreman Evan LaFontaine led a team in the installation. The team drilled small holes into the sunken slab and injected the PolyLevel® foam. This foam expands and hardens which results in the lifting and stabilizing of the concrete. After the slab is level once again, the NexusPro® sealant is used to fill any cracks and voids to create a smooth, even finish.

This homeowner can now enjoy their smooth garage, and not have to worry about cracks ruining their home.
