DBS Before & After Photos

DBS received a call that a cabin in Isle, MN was having multiple residential problems. The floor around a fireplace was sagging, causing a crooked window as a result, also causing the cabin to have trouble with the roof dropping around the fireplace. The crawl space in the cabin also needed to be waterproofed, preventing further mold and odors. Our Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen, made a proposal to support the sagging side of the cabin with our SmartJack® supports system and floor joist system while using the CleanSpace liner® and Triple SafeSump System to keep the crawlspace warm and dry. The photos below show the wet crawlspace prior to DBS beginning production, then the crawl space post-production.

In Isle, MN, a homeowner dreamed of new flooring but faced a challenge: their existing concrete slab was uneven, with Inclinators and cracks widespread across the main living areas and even a bedroom closet. As captured in our before photo, the reality was far from ready for renovations. When our production team went out to the property, they started by installing our PolyLevel®, which lifts and levels concrete surfaces, while NexusPro® and SealantPro™ effectively seal the joints and cracks. Design Specialist James Miller went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, James generated a quote for our cabin helical pier system.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed helical piers underneath the perimeter of the cabin in order to provide permanent stabilization to the structure. The crew also installed our SmartJack®in the crawl space in order to stabilize the flooring in the cabin.

Now that the cabin has been permanently stabilized, the cabin owner can use the space as a retreat without worry.
