DBS Before & After Photos

We recently addressed a unique issue at a home in Hudson, WI, where the homeowner faced a dilemma over rainwater runoff management and aesthetic concerns. His temporary fix of a buried barrel catching gutter water didn't satisfy his wife's desire for a more permanent solution. He insisted on keeping the barrel but needed to fix the uneven concrete slabs causing the runoff problem. DBS stepped in to help by sending a System Design Specialist to assess the situation. Recognizing the need for a lasting solution, we recommended PolyLevel®, an advanced concrete leveling method. With agreement from the homeowner, our skilled team used PolyLevel® to lift and stabilize the sinking slabs, improving drainage without removing the barrel. DBS received a call that a cabin in Isle, MN was having multiple residential problems. The floor around a fireplace was sagging, causing a crooked window as a result, also causing the cabin to have trouble with the roof dropping around the fireplace. The crawl space in the cabin also needed to be waterproofed, preventing further mold and odors. Our Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen, made a proposal to support the sagging side of the cabin with our SmartJack® supports system and floor joist system while using the CleanSpace liner® and Triple SafeSump System to keep the crawlspace warm and dry. The photos below show the wet crawlspace prior to DBS beginning production, then the crawl space post-production.

In Isle, MN, a homeowner dreamed of new flooring but faced a challenge: their existing concrete slab was uneven, with Inclinators and cracks widespread across the main living areas and even a bedroom closet. As captured in our before photo, the reality was far from ready for renovations. When our production team went out to the property, they started by installing our PolyLevel®, which lifts and levels concrete surfaces, while NexusPro® and SealantPro™ effectively seal the joints and cracks. DecoShield™ added the finishing touch for a durable, aesthetically pleasing surface.

Design Specialist James Miller went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, James generated a quote for our cabin helical pier system.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed helical piers underneath the perimeter of the cabin in order to provide permanent stabilization to the structure. The crew also installed our SmartJack®in the crawl space in order to stabilize the flooring in the cabin.

Now that the cabin has been permanently stabilized, the cabin owner can use the space as a retreat without worry.
