DBS Before & After Photos

This homeowner in International Falls, MN was having problems with ice dams forming on their house. She wanted this resolved in order to create a healthier home, so she worked with DBS to find the perfect solution.

Design Specialist Austin Burley conducted a free no-obligation estimate for this project. After inspection, Austin recommended insulating the attic space of the home with Tru-Soft™ cellulose insulation. 

Foreman Raeshawn Pelfrey led the team in this installation. The team started by removing what was left over of the old batt insulation for the homeowner. They then used Tru-Soft™ blown cellulose insulation to cover the entirety of the attic space. This insulation is dense and effective at keeping unwanted air out of these enclosed spaces.  Now that the attic is more effectively insulation, it will stay warmer in the cold months and stay cool in the hot months. 

This homeowner can now relax more comfortably in their home, all year round, without worrying about ice dams creating problems for their home.

Foreman Osia Williams led the installation of this project with help from Co-Foreman Rowan Wentworth. Together, they installed PowerBrace® i-beams onto the basement walls in order to permanently stabilize the foundation. These steel beams stop the wall from any further movement and can be adjusted to restore the wall back to its original positioning. 

Now that the walls have been permanently stabilized, the homeowners can relax.

One of our crews led by Foreman, Nick Woods, first installed drainage matting, then foam insulation, and CleanSpace® water vapor barrier. They also installed a sump pump to help remove water from the area. Lastly, they air-sealed the space with polyurethane spray foam, providing the homeowner with peace of mind.
