From there, our expert team installed the waterproofing system consisting of a WaterGuard® subfloor french drainage system to drain water out of the home for good.

This 1960's home in Duluth, MN was in the process of being sold to new owners. Because there were some cracks in the basement walls, the owners agreed to repair the foundation before selling. With the help of their real estate agent, they contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the home to determine the best course of action for the foundation repair. Zach Royer and his crew excavated the exterior of the home in order to perform a lift procedure. Our team installed 6 push piers total at the base of the home on the exterior of the home. These galvanized steel piers were then hydraulicaly driven into the ground to weight-bearing soils. The weight of the home was then transferred to the competent soil.

This 1940's home in Duluth, MN was prone to taking on water. The owner wanted to fix the water issues for an overall safer and more usuable basement.
A DBS Design Specialist in basement waterproofing visited the home to provide a thorough inspection. It was determined that drain tile would be installed as well as a new sump pump to protect the basement against water intrusion.
A DBS Foreman and waterproofing team worked to install the new system. The crew began by breaking out concrete to create a trench around the home's footing. Our WaterGuard® drain system was put into place and will effectively capture wall and floor seepage, directing it to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump with battery back-up. CleanSpace®, a thick, white poly sheet material was then installed to direct any water leaking from the walls into the drain system below. CleanSpace® makes an excellent covering for basement foundation walls. The crew finished the job by burying the discharge line in the lawn away from the home.
