The owners of this home in Brimson, MN noticed that the walls in their crawl space were bowing and cracked. The floors above were also sloping inwards so they reached out to DBS looking for a solution.

 A DBS Design Specialist went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, they recommended installing our SmartJack® and PowerBrace® Systems.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed SmartJack® supports directly under the flooring in order to provide proper stabilization to the flooring above. The crew also installed the PowerBrace® i-beams along the walls of the crawl space in order to correct bowing of the walls.

Now that the crawl space has been permanently stabilized, the homeowner can relax with peace of mind.

This finished basement room was not an overly large room and the owner wanted to maintain as much usable square footage as possible. Fortunately, our wall anchors fit tightly to the wall and can be covered or finished over when tightened to where they need to be. This solution stabilized the foundation without creating a mess or a cumbersome eyesore for the room.

Aftering reaching out to DBS, Design Specialist James Miller visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation work. He proposed our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System to permanently stabilize and restore the cracked and bowing walls. 

DBS Foreman Zach Jorenby and his crew first excavated the soil on the exterior of the home to set the stage for a wall straightening procedure. From there, they installed an exterior waterproofing membrane to the outside of the home for added protection against water. Then they installed 7 PowerBrace I-beams, connecting them to the basement's concrete floor and ceiling joists. These beams will be tightened overtime by our service department with the goal of restoring the wall to its original position.
