Aurora, MN homeowner reached out to DBS with concerns about a wet basement and cracks in their basement walls.

DBS Design Specialist, Royce Bunn, went to the property and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for a solution to their basement problems.

Our DBS Foreman and production crew then installed our PowerBrace® Wall Bracing System to immediately stabilize the cracked walls. Over time the PowerBrace® System is tightened by our service team to restore the wall to level. A customer from Babbitt, MN reached out to DBS looking for help with the concrete around the senior living center because they want to ensure their residents' safety from tripping hazards. One of our Design Specialists went to the home to run a free no-obligation estimate appointment for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, our Design Specialist provided the customer with a free quote for our Concrete Leveling Service. One of our crews led by a Foreman installed our PolyLevel® foam to fill voids beneath the concrete, lifting and leveling the slabs to eliminate tripping hazards. Now the residents can relax with peace of mind from tripping hazards. 

When this customer first experienced foundation problems they had a home-made solution that had not helped to permanently stabilize or straighten the wall. We used Geo-Lock anchors to stabilize the wall and straighten it over time. The first photo is mid-way through the project. After another anchor was added and both were tightened, the large crack in the wall closed up. 

When large walls in common spaces are under-insulated it can result in major heat loss in the home. Especially when paired with large windows it is important to retain as much heat as possible to create a comfortable living environment. This customer's entire wall needed to be re-insulated using spray foam insulation which provides the highest r-value in tight spaces and has additional air sealing properties. This large wall is now an asset in this customer's home, retaining heat for a comfortable space and making the property more energy efficient. 

This is a great example of how the use of PowerBraces™ can help straighten and strengthen a wall over time. System Design Specialist, Royce Bunn visited this home and proposed the use of six PowerBraces™ to fix the bowing wall. The homeowner had tried various other solutions over the years to fix the bowing wall, but nothing had helped. They even had another foundation wall installed to help fix the bowing exterior wall. The homeowner now rests easy as the experts at DBS have found a permanent solution to fix this problem.
