Henrik began working as a System Design Specialist for DBS in October, 2016. Henrik enjoys meeting with customers to discuss permanent solutions to the issues they face in their homes. His infectious smile and positive attitude WOW customers. He is passionate about finding the best possible solution to help create livable spaces.
Henrik comes to DBS from Tampere, Finland with over ten years of construction experience. Additionally, he has completed a 3-year-long vocational school program earning a degree in construction and a certificate in waterproofing. Since being at DBS, he has completed training in Foundation Repair, Basement Waterproofing, and Basement Finishing. With all of this he has built up a vast network of knowledge that he uses when assessing a customer’s problem.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and taking part in one of his various hobbies: martial arts, cross-country skiing, and hockey.

In this Eau Claire, WI basement DBS installed French doors among many other basement finishing parts. The new doors allowed for the homeowner to easily access their backyard. The owners of this Herbster, WI cabin had a settling foundation. The experts at DBS came out and poured new concrete footings for the SmartJacks that were used to hold up the main support beam.

Our back hallway floor here at our office was in horrible condition. We decided to dig it up and put in new flooring. DBS received a call from a client in in Holyoke that needed their crawl space looked at for a foundation issue. We sent Design Specialist, Henrick Makitalo, to the home to see what the problem was. Henrik saw that the home needed our spray foam service in their crawl space around the walls of the home. This spray foam insulation in the crawl space, vents, and installation of a new crawl space door to correct the insulation and prevent cold air from coming up and into the house.
