Basement Finishing Before & After Photos

This Two Harbors, MN homeowner expressed their want to add a egress basement window for a quick escape in event of an emergency.  After the customer figured out a time that works best with our appointment center, one of our Design Specialists went to the home to run a free no-obligation estimate. After coming to an agreement on the needs that we are able to meet, the homeowner agreed to start the project. One of our crews installed our Total Basement Finishing Egress Window product. This home can now increase its value by creating an additional bedroom or other living space and allow the homeowner to have peace of mind!

Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo visited with the resorts building manager to discuss possible solutions to their hallway ceilings in the resort. Henrik provided the building manager with a great option of using ceiling tiles from our basement finishing product line. Foreman, Drew Sundberg and his crew installed the tiles and everyone was pleased with the result. 

Our clients called DBS looking to install a drop ceiling in their home, so we sent our Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo, to the home to create a proposal. Henrik recommended that the homeowners install a linen ceiling tiles into the home for a fresh new appearance. Homes often install drop ceilings for modern design aesthetic, environmental factors, acoustics, and more. DBS was happy to help the homeowners and install the drop ceiling! The basement under this Marshfield, WI home had developed cracks along the walls which were allowing significant amounts of water to pass through into the basement which led to standing water and moisture causing issues for the homeowner. In order to fulfill the wishes of our customer to create a water-free space in his basement our Specialist, Rich met up with the customer to develop a plan customized to this specific basement. By working with the customer Rich helped develop a waterproofing plan that incorporated our CleanSpace wall liner, SuperSump sump pump, and an interior drain tile to effectively eliminate the water issues this homeowner was facing in this area of their basement. Captured in these photos is the large oil tank that sat in the basement. While obstacles like this can limit access to the basement walls, we certainly don't let that get in our way of effectively waterproofing a basement. Our production crews know just how to work through or around all types of obstacles like this including finished bathrooms and large appliances. 

This basement in Ely Minnesota had become quite leaky and in need of a permanent solution. The cracks that had formed in the wall were allowing water to enter the basement and the homeowner knew it would not be adequate to paint on a waterproofing solution or just add gutters to their home. The installation crew at DBS applied a waterproof polyurethane matting called CleanSpace to the wall which was connected to a newly installed drain tile in the basement. This system allowed water passing through the wall to be collected into the drain tile and fed into a sump pump rather than allowing the leaks to collect as puddles of water in the basement. Not only does our CleanSpace matting help waterproof the basement, but this shiny white matting helps give a much more clean look to the basement walls which were previously dark and dirty.
