Basement Finishing Before & After Photos

This Plymouth, MN homeowner wanted to capitalize on the square footage in the basement. Their dream was to have another living room, a home gym, and office space. Having worked with DBS in the past to correct a bowing wall and install a waterproofing system, they wanted to finish their basement with the DBS water-resistant system.

DBS Design Specialist Jason Swanson visited the home for a free, no-obligation estimate and came up with a custom plan that would incorporate this homeowner's wishlist.  DBS Carpenter Donny Whiting lead the install on this basement finishing project. The team also installed EverLast™ wall panels - the insulated version lined the outside walls and uninsulated for the inner walls. These wall panels are hung via a metal framing system, making them incredibly durable and stronger than drywall.

They installed our ultra-durable, scratch-resistant MillCreek™ flooring throughout the basement. This mahogany color is UV-resistant and provides a thermal break from the cold basement floor.

This owner was happy with the work done and now has a healthy, safe, and comfortable basement to use for years to come. 

A couple from Wayzata, MN called DBS with a water problem in their basement. This house was in need of a new drain tile. There was standing water in the basement and the old drain tile was not effectively draining water away from the footing of the home. Our team went to work to install a complete drain tile around the home with very little disturbance to the existing basement as can be seen from these photos. We came in and finished this basement, and when the homeowner wanted to add a bathroom, it was decided that under the stairs was a perfect spot for one! There was already an old toilet there, but the new space looks much more enjoyable!
