Sinking Boat House in Two Harbors, MN Lifted with Helical Piers

This cabin owner in Two Harbors, MN wanted to address the stability of their boathouse. Settling had begun causing the structure to start sinking into the lake. Wanting a professional and permanent solution, the homeowner trusted DBS to help. 

Design Specialist Zach Guilliams visited the property to conduct a free, no-obligation estimate for the owner. After a careful inspection, a quote was provided for our helical pier support solution.

Foreman Trevor Ingle led the installation of this project with help from a team. Together, the team used hydraulic pressure to drive the screw-like pier into the ground. Once the pier reached native, solid soil the hydraulic pressure moves upwards and lifts the structure. This creates an even, stable support for the boathouse.

This owner can now relax knowing the boathouse is safe from sinking.
