Boathouse in Cook, MN Sinking into Lake Stabilized with DBS Helical Piers

The owners of this boathouse in Cook, MN noticed that the foundation of it was sinking deeper into the sand as time passed. Over the years they had developed many memories and building a new boathouse was not an option for them. Hoping to find a solution, the owners reached out to DBS.

A DBS Design Specialist visited the boathouse to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, the Design Specialist assured the owners that DBS does this work all of the time and that we install helical piers to solve this issue.

Foreman Tyler Nacey led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they drove 4 helical piers into the lake bed until each pier hit a more stable level of the soil. This ensures that the boathouse will not settle any further after installation. Each pier is backed with a 25-year transferrable warranty against the movement, ensuring that the boathouse will be able to continue to be passed down to future generations.

Now that the boathouse has been permanently stabilized, the owners will be able to continue creating new memories while being able to hold on to the old ones.
