This homeowner in Maple, WI was facing problems with wall stabilization and cracks in their basement. The wall had shifted from previous repair over a decade ago; unable to repair this problem on their own, the owner turned to DBS for a solution.
Design Specialist James Miller assisted this homeowner in a free no-obligation estimate to find the right solution for this home. James suggested the installation of a GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System.
Foreman Osia Williams led the installation along with a team. Together the team installed 3 Geolock™ Wall Anchors allowing for stabilization for the whole wall. This is done by connecting a steel rod to plates that are connected and located inside the home to an earth anchor that is installed in the soil outside of the home. This connection will allow for the system to be adjusted to stabilize and straighten out the wall.
With this newly stable wall, this homeowner can live comfortably in their healthy home.
This home was being held up by concrete blocks on top of concrete blocks and shims were used in areas where more support was needed. When adding shims to foundation supports the only guarantee is that you'll need to add more shims when the foundation begins to sag again. This is painstaking and obviously not a permanent solution.
To provide our customer with a permanent solution in this scenario we used steel piers set deep into the earth on opposite sides of the home and welded a steel beam on top of them. The beam sitting on the firmly placed piers yields a permanently stable foundation.
DBS went to a home to find a solution for their foundation problems. We sent our Design Specialist, Kevin Steffey, to the site to see what the best method for repair was. He suggested the home use piering to fix the foundation. This works by driving steel pipes into the previous failing foundations in that building. We’ve included a before photo of the home with failing foundation and a photo during the production of the piering foundation method being installed.
These homeowners in Hayward, WI noticed that the supportive wood posts for their deck were becoming unstable and start to rot at the base. The owners wanted to address this problem to avoid damage to the home, so they reached out to DBS for help.
Design Specialist Nicholas Corbin assisted the homeowners with a free, no-obligation estimate. After a careful inspection, Nicholas recommended our Piering Services and provided the homeowners with a quote.
Foreman Trevor Ingle led the installation of this project with help from a team. These piers are driven into the ground using hydraulic pressure. Once the pier reaches solid, stable soil, the pressure pushes against the ground and causes the piers to stabilize the structure.
This homeowner can now relax knowing their home is safe from failure and wood rot.
