Moisture issues were plaguing this crawl space in Anoka, MN. Tired of living with the musty smells throughout the home, the owner contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate of encapsulating the space.
DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo came up with a solution that would take care of the musty smells and even make the whole house warmer. Our crawl space encapsulation system seals and insulates with 3 layers of moisture and mold-resistant materials.
Tyler Nacey led a crew to encapsulate the crawl space. They began by installing drainage matting against the dirt crawl space floor. From there, our TerraBlock™ crawl space insulation was installed, creating a radiant barrier. The last layer is CleanSpace®, a thick poly sheet that will prevent moisture and musty odors from developing and traveling through the rest of the home.
The owner of this home in Anoka, MN wanted to expand the living space in their basement. However, they first needed to find a way to keep water out of their basement. Looking for a solution, they reached out to DBS.
A DBS Design Specialist visited the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, they recommended our WaterGuard® System.
A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed the WaterGuard® System by jackhammering trenches around the perimeter of the basement and placing the WaterGuard® tubing into each trench. They smoothed over the area with concrete for a flush finish. The drains will help direct water into a sump pump that is able to expel water up and away from the foundation.
Now that the basement has been properly waterproofed, the homeowner can finish the basement to create more living space without worrying about water damage to the space.
The owner of this home in Anoka, MN noticed that their home was sinking deeper into the soil over time. Looking for a solution, they reached out to DBS.
Design Specialist Nick Corbin went to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, Nick advised the homeowner to hire DBS to install our push pier system to permanently stabilize their foundation.
Foreman George Barry led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed 6 push piers underneath the foundation of the home. Each pier is backed with a 25-year transferrable warranty against movement so that our customers can have peace of mind.
The homeowner can now relax comfortably in their home without worrying about a failing foundation.
