Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work.  Henrik measured where heat loss was occurring and closed cell spray foam was recommended properly insulate the basement walls and rim joists. The walls were stabilized using our GeoLock® wall anchor system. With aspirations to finish their basement, they wanted a solution to the water issues before investing in basement finishing. The system directs all moisture to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump. The crew connected this system to a new discharge line with IceGuard® to prevent freezing water in the winter months. 

This home in Two Harbors, MN was in serious trouble when the homeowners reached out to DBS. The basement walls were cracked and severely bowing with sagging floors on the main level of the home. 

DBS Design Specialist, Nathan Schroeder went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the property, Nathan recommended utilizing PowerBrace™ wall support beams in combination with SmartJack® support beams to stabilize the foundation and flooring of this home. Increased soil pressure overtime was the cause of structural damage to these walls. The soil around the home was excavated to reduce pressure on the home before stabilization occurred. This home was permanently stabilized by DBS Foreman, Tyler Nancy, and his production crew.

This Cloquet, MN homeowner has lived in their home since it was built in 1940. Over time the home's crawl space has settled, causing the floor of the home's main level to sink. Once doors and windows on the first level became difficult to open due to the foundation shifting, the homeowner reached out to DBS for a permanent solution.
