Design Specialist James Miller went out to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, James created a quote for our Geo-Lock™ Wall Anchor System.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed the wall anchors onto the basement walls to permanently stabilize the foundation.

Before our team arrived in Hurley, WI, the homeowner struggled with chilly interior spaces, largely due to under-insulated crawl spaces—a common issue in colder climates. Rather than opting for a temporary fix, they chose a comprehensive solution to fully address the problem. As shown in our photos, we revitalized their cold, uninviting crawl space by installing Tru-Soft™ cellulose insulation. We tackled every area, from the challenging rim joists to the expansive spaces in need of dense insulation. This home in Mercer, WI was first built in 1907. After owning this property since the 1990's, they've always noticed significant inssues with temperature and humidity levels i nthe home. After recently seeing mice in the home's crawl space, they homeowner reached out to us about our Dr. Energy Saver® service for crawl space encapsulation. 

Design Specialist Henry Jungbauer visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. DBS Foreman Orrin Sundberg and his prodution crew place a drainage layer and vapor barrier in the crawl space. This will prevent moisture as well as pests from entering the home via the crawl space.

Keeping your crawl space dry can also significantly reduce long-term damage to the wooden building material supporting the structure. From there, they applied closed-cell spray foam insulation to the rim joists where the crawl space was releasing cold air into the main level of the home.
