The owner of this home in Ely, MN reached out to DBS looking for a waterproofing solution for their basement.

Design Specialist Rich Johnsen went out to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, Rich generated a quote for our waterproofing system.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed a WaterGuard® french drain system around the perimeter of the basement to help direct water into a sump pump so that it can be expelled up and away from the home.

Now that the basement has been thoroughly waterproofed, the homeowner can relax with peace of mind.

This crawl space had issues with water. The home itself was on the bottom of a slope and water would sometimes gather in the crawl space. Standing water creates a very damp crawl space atmosphere which contributes to mold, musty smells, and rot. This nasty crawl space required a complete encapsulation to seal it away from the problems it was facing. Underneath our CleanSpace matting in the corner of this crawl space we have installed a sump pump to prevent water from gathering and causing further issues with the home. This completed system brings new life to a home that may have eventually felt the effects of mold and rot if not handled properly. 

This customer reached out to DBS after noticing they had water leaking around the perimeter of their mothers basement and they didn't want to worry about her going down to do laundry. They believed that water was pushing up between the floor and the blocks of the basement so they were interested in our waterproofing services! 

Upon inspection, our Design Specialist recommended taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with our SmartSump™ sump pump system from our waterproofing service to help clear out the water from the basement and prevent water in the future. Once our crew was able to install the sump pump, the mother had a dry basement and the customer felt more secure about their mother's safety!
