Foreman Glen Olcott led the installation of this project with help from a team. The team placed the drain lines within trenches along the perimeter of the basement walls. These drains collect the water and transport it to the sump pump where it is removed from the home. New concrete is then installed on top that creates a flush finish once dry.

This Stillwater MN home was having problems with water coming into the basement from around the perimeter of the basement and through the walls in specific areas. The homeowner wanted to eliminate the concerns they had for the items they were storing in their basement that would sometimes get wet or need to be moved to avoid getting wet every time it would rain. They were looking for a solution that would give them back the use of the large storage area under their home and reduce the "basement smells" that were present in the home. To help ease the customer's concerns, our Specialists suggested our full interior waterproofing system. This customer understood that a full interior waterproofing system would help direct the water coming into their home directly into their sump pump rather than through the basement where it could ruin their valuables. With the customer in agreement to this solution we got to work installing the waterproof membrane on the basement walls which was sealed to the drain tile down below. This drain tile utilizes our patented technology which prevents dirt from clogging the system and allows water to be efficiently drained away from the home. 

A homeowner from Hager City, WI reached out to DBS looking for help with their damp basement. One of our Design Specialists ran a free no-obligation estimate appointment for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, our Design Specialist provided the homeowner with a free quote for our Basement Waterproofing System. One of our crews installed our WaterGuard® french drain system in the basement to thoroughly waterproof the space.

This customer contacted DBS after noticing that water comes into their basement every spring thaw and that each time it happens, their is a lot of water but no visible cracks.  When our Design Specialist went out to the property, he recommended installing a WaterGuard® along the walls of the basement to help with water flow. WaterGuard does this by effectively capturing wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. The water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.

Once we were able to get out to the property, the installation of the WaterGuard® went smoothly and the customer was happy with the results!

Owners of this family cabin in Remer, MN had grand plans to convert this space to their full-time home. After completing an add-on to this cabin originally built in the 90's, they noticed issues with the foundation's ability to keep out water. After meeting us at the Grand Rapids Home Show, they decided to tackle their water troubles with DBS. 

Our Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the waterproofing work. It was determined that both internal and external systems for waterproofing were needed to protect this home.

DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew installed the exterior waterproofing system. They first excavated soil around the cabin foundation, installed a french drain, as well as covered the foundation in our SentrySeal® waterproof membrane. After filling the drain trench with aggregate gravel, backfilling with soil, and tamping the ground, the exterior waterproofing was complete. 

From there, DBS Foreman Taylor Allen and crew worked on the interior waterproofing job. The crew began by breaking out concrete to create a trench around the cabin's footing. Our WaterGuard® drain system was put into place and will effectively capture wall and floor seepage, directing it to a new DoubleSafe™ sump pump. The crew finished the job by burying the discharge line in the lawn away from the home. 

This family can now rest easy knowing their favorite retreat will be protected for years to come.
