Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

This homeowner in Duluth, MN had plans to finish their basement. However, they needed to address the water intrusion issues first to ensure their new renovations would not be ruined. They also needed to focus on waterproofing to stop the mold growth in the basement. 

Design Specialist Zach Guilliams assisted these homeowners with a free, no-obligation estimate. After a careful and thorough inspection, it was decided that our WaterGuard® French Drain System would be the best option. 

Foreman Fred Bozvay led the installation of this project with help from a team. The team began by creating trenches in the basement, where the drain lines were placed. These drain lines collect the unwanted water and transport it to the newly installed TripleSafe™ Sump Pump. The water is then discharged from the home, leaving it dry and healthy.

Foreman Glen Olcott led the installation of this project. Our crew installed our WaterGuard® french drains along the perimeter of the basement to ensure the basement stays dry. These drains collect the water intrusion and transport it to a sump pump where it is removed from the home.

A DBS foreman and crew installed a new french drain system and CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier along the perimeter of the basement. This system directs all the moisture to the home's existing sump pump.

To permanently stabilize the basement walls, the production crew installed 6 CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing straps and 16 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightented over time, in order to restore the wall to its original position.

The installation was successful and provided a solid solution to the leaking water and foundation cracks.

To permanently stabilize the basement walls, the production crew installed 8 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams. This PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, is meant to support walls from further movement and can be tightened over time, in order to restore the walls to their original position. The PowerBrace™ beams are zinc-plated and backed with a 75-year warranty against movement. 

The installation was successful and provided a solid solution to the leaking water and foundation cracks!
