When a homeowner in Nisswa, MN noticed their kitchen floor and cabinets shifting—enough to make cooking oil slide in a pan—they realized it was time to take action. Worried about potential damage extending to their basement or crawlspace, they reached out to us. The before photo illustrates the urgent need for our intervention. We responded with our robust PowerBrace™ system and installed a CleanSpace® liner for encapsulation, along with a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump, IceGuard®, and UltraSump™ System to address moisture issues and ensure the home's stability. The after photo reveals a completely transformed, secure space, offering years of protection and peace of mind.
This Minneapolis, MN homeowner was experiencing cold air seeping into the bottom of their home, which pushes the warm air out of the top of the home. The owner needed a permanent fix, so they turned to DBS for a solution.
Design specialist Henrik Makitalo assisted this homeowner with a free no-obligation estimate to help their home. Following the inspection, Henrik suggested the owners insulate the top area of their home in order to stop the cold air from seeping in and keep the warm air from escaping.
Foreman Raeshawn Pelfrey led the installation of this solution, along with a team. The team installed closed-cell spray polyurethane foam to insulate the home. This spray foam effectively seals off air infiltration while creating a moisture barrier. Along with the insulation benefits, this spray foam also adds strength to the framing and sheathing of the structure.
This homeowner can now relax knowing the warm air they want is staying where they need it.

They are preparing to sell the home and want to fix the energy issues and provide a healthy, safe, and comfortable home for a prospective owner in the future. Their cold, drafty floors were a result of an under-insulated crawlspace. Looking for a permanent solution, they reached out to DBS to schedule a free, no-obligation estimate.
Design Specialist Henry Jungbauer is a Design Specialist for our Dr. Energy Saver® service. He visited the home to provide a thorough inspection and solution for the home. He designed a plan that included removing the old insulation and installing our full encapsulation system; first drainage matting, next crawlspace insulation, and finally, a CleanSpace® vapor barrier.
Foreman Zach Jorenby led the install of this crawl space encapsulation project. DBS Insulation Foreman Nick Woods II completed the spray foam portion of the crawl space.
This homeowner contacted DBS after enduring a daily routine to bring their space heater upstairs just so they could warm the upstairs addition. They wanted proper insulation to alleviate this issue and finally have a warmer upstairs level.
Our Design Specialist visited the property and recommended a solution that involves a full installation of the attic.
When Kornell Green, our Foreman, and the crew went to the property, they installed 5 XL can light covers, air sealed and insulated the access points, baffles, and floors using our spray foam insulation. Once the spray foam insulation was complete, Kornell and the team secured the installation further by using our TruSoft Cellulose. Once the project was complete, the homeowner was very happy with the final result!
