Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

In the before photo, you can see the damp, neglected condition of this Balsam Lake, WI homeowner's crawl space, a common issue that compromised the home's structural integrity and created a risk for mold growth. A homeowner in Grand Rapids, MN reached out to DBS regarding their home's crawl space and various areas within the basement. The crawl space was the source of some damp water issues, creating a cold and uncomfortable environment. In need of a solution, a Design Specialist from DBS visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the service. It was decided that our crew would fully encapsulate the area using CleanSpace® as well as install a TripleSafe™ sump pump to extract unwanted water. To finish it off, the crew added SilverGlo™ insulation panels on the crawl space walls to create a warmer environment. The results turned out great and can be seen in the photos attached.

Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist on this project. After inspecting the damp crawl space, Royce recommended installing CleanSpace® vapor barrier over drainage matting, as well as a SmartSump™ to direct any water away from the space. 

The DBS Foreman and his production crew installed these products as well as 6 SmartJack® System beams to lift and support the crawl space. The installation was finished with TerraBlock™ insulation to prevent cold, damp air from entering the space. 

This home is now fully supported and will be healthy, safe, and comfortable for years to come.
