A DBS Design Specialist went out to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, they recommended our crawl space encapsulation service to transform the crawl space.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they cleared out the old insulation from the crawl space and installed drainage matting. Then they installed TerraBlock® frost barrier panels and CleanSpace® water vapor barrier. To finish the project they sprayed polyurethane foam onto the vertical walls in the crawl space.

This home had an unfinished crawl space which allowed water to pool and mold to grow. The solution for the unwanted water was to install our CleanSpace® waterproofing barrier, insulate the rim joists with closed cell spray foam and seal off the crawl space. The crew first began by removing all of the existing insulation and debris from the crawl space. SilverGlo™ rigid foam insulation was installed on the vertical wall of the crawl space. From there, our team installed closed-cell spray foam on the rim joists of the crawl space ceiling. This will air seal the crawl space, dramatically reducing the ability of cold air and water to enter the space.
