This homeowner in Moose Lake, MN, reached out to us concerning their difficult-to-access crawl space. Once the homeowner contacted us, our Appointment Center quickly scheduled a free, no-obligation home inspection with Design Specialist Henrik. We introduced CleanSpace©—a durable, moisture-proof barrier designed for crawl space encapsulations. The space's accessibility posed a hurdle, requiring some grading work before any actual encapsulation could commence. Our team, led by Foreman Wade, got to work transforming a once daunting area to a clean, dry, and efficiently encapsulated space. By the project's completion, the benefits were clear, transforming what was once a concern into peace of mind. 

This Grand Marais, MN home was purchased for the purpose of renovation and renting. The owner was in the process of fixing up the house but needed help encapsulating the crawl space in order to fix any smell, moisture, and heating issues that were affecting the home.

Foreman Nicholas Woods II led a team in the installation of this project. Together, the team started by using SprayFoam insulation on the walls to air seal any unwanted holes or cracks that were allowing large amounts of airflow into the space. Following that, they used TerraBlock™ insulation on the ground to prevent any coldness or moisture from rising into the home. Finally, they used CleanSpace® to create a clean finish and to transform the space into a safe storage area. 

This home will no longer be affected by the crawl space issues it faced before, and can now continue to be renovated and rented out. 

This recently purchased cabin in Tofte, MN was built in the 1920s and in need of structural repair. The owner was hoping to use this space as a vacation home and potential rental down the line. They wanted to make sure that the cabin had a healthy foundation and crawl space so they reached out to DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. 

DBS Design Specialist James Miller visited the cabin and gave a thorough inspection of the crawl space. He designed a plan with the homeowner to restore the cabin to a level position. DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his foundation repair crew had the task of installing a crawl space support system and lifting the cabin back to level. 

The DBS repair crew installed a supplemental beam steel beam to ensure the cabin is properly supported for years to come. Beneath the existing supports and new steel I-beam, we placed 7 SmartJacks. These telescoping support beams have steel footings and can be hand adjusted to support natural settling due to soil movement throughout the years.
