Design Specialist James Miller assisted the homeowners in a free, no-obligation estimate to find the best solution for the home. After a careful inspection, it was decided that helical piers would be the best option.

A DBS Design Specialist led the installation of this project with help from a team. Together, the team used hydraulic pressure to drive the screw-like pier into the ground until it reached stable soil. The pressure then pushes against this stable soil and lifts the structure to provide the needed support.

The PowerBrace® system comes with a 75-year warranty against the additional movement, ensuring that once installed, the wall will be permanently stabilized. Brackets at the top of each PowerBrace® can be tightened during dry seasons in an attempt to straighten the wall back to its original position as well.

The crew also installed a layer of CleanSpace® water vapor barrier on the ground and applied spray foam to the vertical walls in order to provide some insulation to the space.
